Many debate the level of importance of audio in a television program or commercial. Some even say it is more important than the video!! You can’t see the video from another room but you can still hear it. Besides, audio sets the tone (pun), creates the mood, makes the sum total of the parts much bigger than would normally be the case.

 

A great professionally finished audio track ensures the sound will “reach out” to the listener and compete with everything else. Even small budget tvc’s will benefit and often disguise the fact that this is indeed a “cheap” commercial.

 

The pictures may be great but add that extra dimension of great audio and you’re up there with the best of them.

There may be times when all you want is a suitable piece of music to run under something that won’t bite you financially when you do your music returns. You could be surprised to find out that having a piece put together is cheaper in the long run. For this you pay a one off fee, whereas any ongoing changes (price/specials etc) made in a TV commercial using production music incurs an ongoing license fee.

Enquire about Larry’s “off the shelf” music CD, this is a “buyout” deal…one fee for the CD and use whatever is on it whenever you like. This is a mixed bag of all sorts ranging from ex demos to finished pieces in various durations but also cut conveniently into 30sec and 15sec lengths.
